Ugh, just upgraded to digital cable - plugged in the box from Comcast, did the phone activation and now the light won’t go off. I have been transferred 3 times now to tech support and each time I get “Please call back during regular business hours”. I am assured 3 times that they are 24/7 so I hit up comcast.net and see this “We’re here for you 24/7. Just Ask Comcast 1-800-COMCAST (1-800-266-2278).” - Yeah right, I am going to try again once more..this is pathetic.. why advertise 24/7 if you are not. Oi vey.
Update Day 2:
So after 3 hours last night and countless time on hold for the so called 24/7 tech support I gave up, disconnected the digital cable box they sent me and packed it up. So today I get a call. “This is an automated message from Comcast, was your digital service activation successful? If yes, press 1, if no, press 2.” So I press 2 and begin to wait … transferring… then about 30 seconds later I hear “We are sorry, at this time we cannot connect you to a representative, please call us back at a later time” - LMBO - you called me you freak. LOL. This is getting better by the day. I am about to just drop cable and get the DISH or DirectTV I think - ….more updates as they transpire….

1My parents (live in Florida) have Comcast. They are CRAP. The way they have treated this household of seniors (63, 65 and 90) is practically elderly abuse. My family has been left for WEEKS without phone service due to cable/internet outages. They could give two flying flips. And No, they are NOT 24/7 no matter what they claim. One rep was all surprised that they weren’t answering when she was trying to transfer me to the tech dept. They plain and simple suck.
