Say what? Ok, here is how…
Creating a niche job board and a 50% revenue share in less than 7 minuntes:

1. Problem: needed a job board (in my niche) to give me revenue for my site

2. Found: enter Job-a-matic from Simply Hired - they gave me the tools

3. Action: Took 7 minutes of my time, created an account, added a header, set my job prices to what I wanted

4. Result: Now I have a job board.

5. Revenue stream: 50% of the revenue from my new niche job board is coming to my pocket.

Now to the longer details of how I created my niche job board:

Ah, how would you like to instantly be able to offer your site users all the cool capabilities of a job board: searching for jobs, posting jobs, etc? If I told you that you could do that in all of 7 minutes would that get your attention? How about if I told you that you could set your own cost/job posting and instantly get 50% of all the revenue that comes through your job board. What that get your attention?

You see, I run a tech blog about Apple and Macs - Macbook Random Shutdown. It has become a great resource for frustrated owners of Macs - so I thought I would try and do the Macworld right again by promoting some jobs that are either 1. from Apple directly, or 2. have or are related to Apple/Mac technology. Biggest question - how can I do that (easily)?

The other night I stumbled upon an awesome blog from Guy Kawasaki - I saw that he had some job listings in his sidebar, so I checked them out. Way cool. His job board what setup neatly, concise and simple, yet elegant. Upon looking around a little, I saw that it was powered by Simply Hired and is what they call their Job-a-matic.

So I set off to create my own job board - how hard can this be I thought? Actually, it turned out to be way easier than I could have ever imagined. I created an account, got some code and added my header and footer html to my Job-a-matic account within 7 minutes. Then I dumped the code to my blog - Macbook Random Shutdown, and boom. I have an Apple/Mac job board.

Thanks Job-a-matic!

Update:

Oh yeah, create your own subdomain and change your DNS record and you can have a CNAME from the yoursite.simplyhired.com to jobs.yoursite.com :)
